Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. Earl Street Grill is a good alternative when you're tired of eating at the chains that are so prevalent in Daytona. Truth be told, the menu is about the same as a T.G.I. Friday's or Applebees--burgers, chicken, salads, etc.--but I've found the quality to be a step above. The prices are coincidentally a bit higher, but nothing unjustified. The ambiance is relaxed, but intimate. It's tiny. However, you can't beat the location--as quiet side street within walking distance of the Ocean Walk Shoppes and Boardwalk area. Parking's next door at the garage.

Didn't want to wait 40 minutes for a table at the boardwalk restaurants. Came here. Just a few locals. Got a decent broiled whitefish. Service was fast, food was fine. You won't leave saying to yourself it was great. But, you'll get in and out quickly, eat a decent meal, pay a reasonable price,

Our family likes to get away from the chain restaurants and try local restaurants instead. We found this little gem right across the street from our hotel in Daytona beach. It was small and empty. For some people not very tempting to try. But were glad we did!. We were greated promptly and with a welcoming smile. A simple breakfast menu with great prices and awesome food. Very good coffee too. My husband had the meat lovers omelette which he really liked. Home fries well seasoned not salty. Kids ordered combo plate of pancakes and eggs. pancakes had fresh bananas on top and inside. They also had fresh strawberries and blueberries available. I had an egg, ham and cheese sandwich just the way I like it. I'm surprised this place wasn't packed for breakfast on father's day. Definitely recommend.

OMG what a hidden gem! Right near the big box Hilton and walking distance. We went there after a chain restaurant wanted us to wait 1 hr 45 minutes to be seated on a Saturday. I found this lil place on yelp and I'm happy I did. This place should be packed breakfast to dinner but isn't because tourists want to be on the beachside. Well my wife had the house burger with fresh cut fries made from real potatoes!!!! I had the marinated chicken plate with cottage cheese, egg, and tomato. We had waters and our bill was just over $18.00 for DINNER!!!!! Can't beat it we will be back before we leave Daytona beach!!! Support this lil locally owned place. You will not be disappointed. The service is great.

We attempted to go to this restaurant twice. Their website said they opened at 7:30 on Tuesdays. We arrived at 7:30. Waited 40 minutes, and ended up going to Dunkin Donuts. On Wednesday we arrived at 8:05. The restaurant ended up opening at 8:13. The prices are great, but the food is just ok. But, it's better than cooking myself.

We called over to see if they were still serving breakfast. They said they would normally stop serving breakfast at 10:30. But they were kind enough to let us come over and get Breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful and enjoyable time with Jeanne while having breakfast. The home cooked food was great. In my book the Earl Street Grill is highly recommended.

You would just love to have a great breakfast place in this area.... There isn't. Earls definitely isn't. It's outdated, barely clean, bathrooms smell like urine and not cleaned daily, maybe not weekly. Plain ordinary menu, service is plain and average. Coffee is weak or worse than expected. There is even a .40 extra charge for rye bread, never heard of that before. Tables feel sticky from deep frying, has a bar but it looks like a piled down 1970's mess. I wish it was a decent place, I'd eat breakfast here every morning.

Hey, it's a little tiny diner. It's great for breakfast food. You can't expect Michelin stars or anything.

Love this place, food is awesome and the folks are super nice from the fantastic waitress all the way up to the owners who hang out there. I haven't had a breakfast this good since my grandma was alive - no exaggeration. Portions were huge for me. Not sure I have ever had breakfast potatoes this good (pls forgive me gramma). Coffee is excellent, so is the Bloody Mary. I highly recommend this diner/grill. Not sure about dinner, but breakfast blew my mind and I am pretty picky. Inside is nice and outside in the sun is better! If you are looking for a beach front high end experience this is not for you, this is awesome food in a great location next to the convention center and across from the Hilton at incredibly good prices. This ain't the Taj Mahal, this is a freaking awesome diner.

I give it 4 stars for the friendly service and the home style cooked breakfast. Perfect size portions. We ordered eggs, home fried potatoes (excellent), omelets, and pancakes. Everything was great.

I am giving it 4 stars for the burger and ONE STAR for the idiot behind the counter! Not only did she insult us and bud into our private conversation but she fires up a cigarette while we were eating!!!!! NASTY SHIT!!!! Then after that she tells a party of 5 to go eat at the Starlight diner bc they have a better selection??? WTF?? I would fire her on the spot!!!!

Food is sooo good. The service was fantastic. I've come for breakfast twice now and have been very pleased. Park in the parking garage. It's free

Every review here is pretty much accurate. Had reuben, fries, and a beer for about $10. It's the same as the bar & grill you might frequent in your town. It is what it is. Don't expect more and you'll be happy! BTW, credit cards are now accepted.

Walked over to the place for breakfast and it was NOT open, even though it claims to be a breakfast place. Avoid before 11

Am I missing something? This restaurant is basically a matchbox sized room with a huge bar and very few booths. The local news was on and the waitress was watching it while talking on the phone. Also, I can't say I'm a huge fan of hearing about a child's disappearance and some creepy guy spying on a dance studio while I eat. The food was average and under-seasoned. To top it off, the cheese on the burger we ordered was American and it wasn't even melted. Disappointing...

Place was full when we went in fro breakfast so I went to the bar while my wife used the washroom. Sat there for about 5 minutes and never acknowleged. My wife saw a table opening up so we sat in a booth. Waitress brought over 1 menu and then asked if we knew waht we wanted. I ordered a coffee and my wife ordered a decaf. "Oh, we don't have any made so that will be a while" was her response to the decaf. She looked at us with a hopeful look that my wife would say "nevermind" but she wanted it and the waitress seemed annoyed. She then returned with my coffee and asked what we wanted for breakfast. I said I wasn't ready (as I still did not have a menu), she huffed off and we got up and left.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked up to this restaurant in the HEART of the tourist-y area of Daytona Beach (by the boardwalk, in the shadows of the reasonably priced parking garage just by the ocean center entrance at Earl St). It is Father's Day morning, and a Sunday to boot...and NOBODY was in here! It's cash only, so be prepared for that, but what a breakfast! Low low prices leaving us so satisfied that we couldn't help but leave a hefty 33% tip, because the service is fast and friendly, and the food is plentiful and tasty!! SO happy to have encountered the line for IHOP 5 miles down Atlantic...it led to me sighing while reaching for my trusty tablet to find a better idea. Idea found!

we love earl's! we stopped in here for a beer one afternoon after we were playing games and riding go-karts across the street and the waitress was so sweet we came back for breakfast on our way back to Orlando. the price was right, the service was great and the food was good. no complaints. we even got to eat outside and get a little sun. definitely check out earl's when you're in town and they will treat you right!
(5)Mims M.
We came here on our way out of town. We didn't want to go back to overpriced, busy, loud Ihop. We found Earls to be quaint and quiet. It was a nice lil mom n pop place. Service was efficient even with her having 5 tables at once. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back.

I like this place the food is great and the workers are really nice and always have something to say the thing I don't like are when I got my burger once the beef was still pink which I asked for well done and the workers always have a conversation in front of you the price is right and the food is great!

Great burger if you are in the Main Street area of Daytona.

Excellent prices. Very friendly service. Good food.

Good breakfast egg bagels and English muffin sandwiches! On regular business day a lot of locals go there and the ladies that work are really sweet. Can't complain about the service one bit. The tourists often encounter this little eatery as they walk near Ocean-walk. If you like a hole in the wall environment with southern hospitality service then this is your spot near A1A in Daytona Beach. If you go during the daytona 500 don't be surprised if you run into Nascar greats Dale Earnhart Jr., Jeff Gordan, etc.
